"Flash" Flash & his brother, Bruce, were brought into a clinic I was working at by a local breeder as "leftover", unsellable puppies. Though she requested the puppies be euthanized because they were getting 'too old to be sold quickly and easily', the doctors and staff refused such a barbaric request and offered relinquishment instead. For whatever reason, I volunteered to help train and socialize one of the puppies and subsequently took Flash home to "foster", he has yet to leave. ;~)

Radiograic evidence of Gastric Dilatation-Vulvulous (note the "boxing glove" appearance to the grossly enlarged & gass-filled stomach).
What does Gastric Dilatation- Volvulus look like?
This is Flash on May 9th, 2012 around 2pm. He had eaten breakfast around 9am, was rested in a crate for approximately 4 hours after feeding, then was discovered exhibiting symptoms of bloat around 1pm. Flash was humanely euthanized after radiographs confirmed GDV.
Note the large distension on Flash's left side.
Vomit does not contain food or fluid, only thick, rope-like saliva. This material is similar consistency to softened marshmallow.
